We are located at an altitude of 430 m above sea level and not least for this reason, you will enjoy a unique view of the Merano valley basin lower down. Towards the east is the imposing Ifinger, above which the sun rises on a morning, whilst to the west is the Vinschgau valley. There, on the summit of the Zielspitze, the sun bids us farewell late in the afternoon. Towards the north there is an imposing view of the summits of the Texel Group of mountains, from the Tschigat to the Mutspitze.
The centre of Algund can be reached on foot in a quarter of an hour, and the nearest bus stop is just 100 metres away. You can reach the centre of Merano by public transport in just a quarter of an hour. Within a radius of a few hundred metres are the valley station for the chair lift to Vellau and the cycle path and Algund Waalweg irrigation channel path.
